As many of you may have seen, yesterday Rackspace made two big announcements: 1) we announced the end of formal evaluation of M&A transactions, and 2) we announced that I have been named CEO of Rackspace. We believe these announcements coupled with our laser-sharp focus on Fanatical Support and managed cloud services have Rackspace primed for future success.
One of the tenets of Fanatical Support is proactively serving our customers – providing solutions to problems before customers know they have them and before they even have to ask.
This week, we became one step closer to defeating patent trolls that have attempted to extort hundreds of thousands of dollars from companies like Rackspace that actually create value. We also talked about the value of dedicated servers and how marketing leaders are ranking technology as the No. 1 area for improvement in their departments. Check out all of that and more in this week’s edition of the Rackspace Weekly Digest.
It’s a great time to be a Racker. For the fourth consecutive year, our culture of collaboration and vast professional training opportunities have earned us a spot on Business Insider’s list of The 25 Best Tech Companies To Work For In 2013.
July Fourth wasn’t the only cause for celebration his week. Here at the Rack, we celebrated a major hybrid cloud collaboration to dig deeper into the mysteries of the universe; we offered job support to Rackers who become Code For America Fellows; and we heard from another of our customers about the benefits of a hybrid cloud. Check out this week’s digest for all that and more.
Having been a UK Racker for over 10 years, I’m proud to see Rackspace recognized in Gartner’s first Magic Quadrant for European Managed Hosting1, which I believe is a reflection of Rackspace’s international ambitions.
This month, we’ve talked a lot about the evolution of OpenStack and how developers are the key innovators for any business in this new IT world. Don’t worry if you missed out because we’re spotlighting all that and more – including DBA Services, hybrid cloud customers, hacking and automated deployments – in this edition of the Rackspace Weekly Digest.
We’re barreling full steam ahead here at the Rack. We’ve welcomed new allies in our battle against patent trolls; invested in a NoSQL DBaaS provider; and added a new level of support just for developers. Take a look at the digest and see what happened this week.
It’s been a busy week here at the Rack. We’ve seen validation of the hybrid cloud; taken a deeper look at Google Glass; rode our bikes to work; and tore down silos at DevOpsDays. Here, we take a look at all of the cool stuff that happened this week.
It’s only the first week of May, and we’ve already hit the ground running here at the Rack. Over the past few days we’ve seen policymakers show leadership in the fight against patent trolls and launched ObjectRocket in our Chicago data center. Check out all of that and more in this week’s digest.
