Analyze a Header

Email headers are attached to every email message, and they describe the source of the email, the email's destination, and all stops in between. A header analysis can show where delays may have occurred.

To view and copy an email message's full header, log into webmail, and perform the following steps:

  1. Double-click the email to open it in a separate window.
  2. Click the Full Header link, located in the upper right corner of the window.
  3. Use your mouse pointer to select all of the header text, and then press Ctrl + C to copy the text.

To analyze the header, log into the control panel, and perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Support link at the top of the page.

  2. In the Troubleshoot section, click the Header Analyzer link.

  3. Paste the header text into the Email header box.
  4. Click the Analyze button. The header analysis report will appear.
