By default, email lists are sorted by the date the email was received, with the most-recent email message being displayed first. But, you can change the sort type and the sort order. To sort email, do the following:
- In an email list, click a column heading to sort the list according to read/new status, flagged/unflagged status, the sender’s name, the email subject, or the date the email was received.
- To change the sort order, click the column heading again. (For example, if you are sorting according to the received date, you can click the Received column heading again to toggle between viewing the newest email first or the oldest email first.) Note: When you sort by read/new status or flagged/unflagged status, new and flagged emails will always appear at the top.
