1&1

To change your name servers with 1&1, perform the following steps:

  1. Log into your account at www.1and1.com, using your username and password from 1&1.
  2. Click the Manage Domains link, located on the left side of the screen.

  3. Locate and check the box next to the domain name for which you need to change the name servers.
  4. Above the domain name list, there will be a series of buttons. Click the arrow on the DNS button and select Edit DNS Settings.
  5. In the Basic DNS Settings section, click the Name server drop-down menu and select My name server from the list.
  6. In the Advanced DNS Settings section, enter the following in the fields provided:

    Secondary name server:

    My secondary name server

    1st Secondary name server:

    DNS2.NAME-SERVICES.COM

    2nd Secondary name server:

    DNS3.NAME-SERVICES.COM

    DNS4.NAME-SERVICES.COM

  7. Click the OK button.
  8. A confirmation page will appear. Click the Go To Overview button to return to the Domain Overview page. Your domain name will now have a red (DNS) label listed next to it to indicate that some settings have been changed.
  9. To log out of 1&1, click the Logout link, located in the top right corner of the screen.
