If you have your DNS or domain(s) hosted with us, the Control Panel gives you total control over settings and domain-wide management tools.
You can set up auto-renewal for your domain registration or DNS, adjust the domain WHOIS information, and modify DNS records. In addition to specifying your mail records (we set these up automatically), your DNS records can be set to point to your website and, if purchased, a private label webmail site. Full support is provided for subdomains and A, CNAME, and TXT records.
If you have purchased the service, you can use email archiving to collect all sent and received email into a searchable and retrievable format. You can access archiving through the Control Panel and set up searches or restore email. There is no retention limit.
The Control Panel includes several tools that enhance both Rackspace Email and Microsoft Exchange services. You manage spam filtering for individual users or the entire domain. Setup blacklists of blocked email and IP addresses and safelists of trusted senders. Control Global Access Rights, specify whether users have to use POP, IMAP, Webmail, or SSL to connect to their email accounts. Create Disclaimers that will append to the bottom of all outgoing mail.
The Rackspace Migration App within the Control Panel lets you move email and data from a previous service to our system. If you need to migrate a large number of mailboxes, you can set up split domain routing. Split domain routing permits email delivery to all of the mailboxes in a domain even though the mailboxes may be on different servers or hosts. This will give you the time you need to move all of your users, and email delivery continues during the process.
